MHSCN Website
In 2006, the Minnesota Health Strategy & Communications Network (MHSCN) turned to a.p.meyer to help rethink and redesign their web site. Their existing site held mainly static information — announcements, career information, a list of members and various PDF forms. The goal was to create a more dynamic site that encouraged member interaction.
The new design is powered by the Wordpress blog platform. Members and visitors can leave comments (or post questions) on the announcements and news articles published to the site. Interested parties can easily submit information on career openings which, once approved, are accessible to members. Other member-only areas include pdf back issues of the organization’s quarterly print newsletter and an online directory with contact information and photos of all MHSCN members.
In addition, custom content management tools were developed to allow members and site administrators to edit with member data which is now stored in a MySQL database on the web server.
